We are looking for an Education Project Officer to support the implementation of NRCโs education projects in Hebron and contribute to improving access to quality learning for vulnerable children and youth. The role involves close coordination with schools, local authorities, and community partners to ensure effective planning, delivery, and monitoring of education activities. The Project Officer will also support teacher capacity-building, promote safe and inclusive learning environments, and ensure that all activities are implemented in line with NRCโs policies, standards, and core values of dedication, innovation, inclusivity, and accountability.
The Education Project Officer will play a key role in ensuring the effective and high-quality implementation of NRCโs education projects, delivering the responsibilities outlined below to support impactful and inclusive learning outcomes.
Generic Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit progress reports as required by management.
Maintain accurate and organized filing of all project-related documents.
Ensure that projects prioritize the most vulnerable beneficiaries, while actively exploring and evaluating innovative and more effective approaches to assistance.
Maintain regular communication and coordination with the Technical Officer on thematic project areas.
Support the implementation of Safe and Inclusive Programming Minimum Standards within all areas of responsibility.

Specific Responsibilities:
Implement education activities in alignment with the direction and guidance of the Education Project Coordinator and Manager.
Deliver NRC programmatic components and project thematic areas with the support of the Technical Officer and other technical staff at theย Area Office, Regional Office, and Head Office levels.
Actively participate in team planning, regular coordination meetings, and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities in collaboration with the Technical Officer. This includes engagement in Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), pre- and post-assessments, research, and evaluations conducted throughout the year.
Ensure consistent, direct, and effective coordinationโboth in-person and remotelyโwith school management, teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, and learners for the planning, implementation, supervision, and follow-up of project activities. Additionally, maintain regular communication and collaboration with relevant Directorates of Education to support project alignment and sustainability.
Conduct regular classroom observations to assess the performance ofย remedialย teachers, ensuring quality standards are met. Provide structured, constructive feedback in line with an established training plan based on identified gaps.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project data for assigned schools, including KoBo data entry, targets, assessments, beneficiary information, photographs, and feedback.
Prepare, revise, and develop training materials for teaching and non-teaching staff based on identified needs and capacity gaps. Lead and facilitate relevant training sessions and workshops in collaboration with school management and related NRC staff..
Collaborate closely with partners and local community organizations in the implementation of approved project activities, ensuring that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the agreed-upon plan.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, demonstrating the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to successfully fulfill the responsibilities of the role:

Generic Professional Competencies:
Proven experience working as a Project Officer within humanitarian or recovery settings, preferably in education-related projects.
Prior experience in implementing remedial education programme orย psycho-social support initiatives.
Fluency in Arabic, both written and spoken; proficiency in English is an asset.

Context/ Specific Skills, Knowledge And Experience:ย
Bachelorโs degree in Education and Social science or related field relevant to the role.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the education sector, preferably within emergency or humanitarian contexts.
Proven experience in delivering training and applying effective capacity-building techniques.
Relevant and progressive work experience in project implementation, ideally within NGOs or international organizations.
Demonstrated commitment to and experience with participatory approaches in aid and development programming.
