If you are a committed, creative professional and are passionate about making a lasting difference for children, the world's leading children's rights organization would like to hear from you. Over 75 years, UNICEF has been working on the ground in 190 countries and territories to promote children's survival, protection and development. UNICEF supports child health and nutrition, good water and sanitation, quality basic education for all boys and girls, and the protection of children from violence, exploitation, and abuse. UNICEF is funded entirely by the voluntary contributions of individuals, businesses, foundations, and governments.

BACKGROUND

Purpose of Activity/Assignment:

Digital engagement is essential to UNICEF's response to the evolving landscape of communication, fundraising, and advocacy. In Belarus, UNICEF maintains a presence across most social media platforms. Recognizing that youth and children are among its primary target audiences, the office launched a TikTok account in 2021 to rally young people's support and participation while reaching new, younger audience. This initiative aims to inspire them to advocate for positive behaviors and practices.

To further elevate digital engagement the CO is seeking to engage a consultant specializing in TikTok content creation and comprehensive social media management. While the office is equipped to manage its social media platforms, it is crucial to involve a young influencer who can authentically connect with peers on vital issues such as adolescent health, 21st-century skills, bullying and cyberbullying, eco-friendly practices, and the SDGs.

This young social media manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing the UNICEF brand by rallying support from their network of like-minded bloggers. The involvement of a young content creator on TikTok has already yielded impressive results in 2023 and 2024, significantly boosting reach and engagement with the youth audience. As a result, the CO has decided to broaden the scope of this responsibilities to include additional social media platforms and the office's website.

The office seeks a specialist who can assist in tailoring content for various social media channels while incorporating a youth-oriented perspective. Consultative support will be required during the final stages of content creation to ensure compliance with UNICEF's policies.

Scope of Work:

Under the supervision of the Digital Communication Officer and overall guidance of the Chief of Communication Section, the consultant will support UNICEF in:
