Mission and objectivesERONet formerly ACDA is an association founded in August 27, 2001 as a nonprofit organization to represent the crisis prone communities of Northern Uganda especially the people of Lamwo District in the border with South Sudan . ERONet functions to empower these communities by providing:- โ€ข Education on relevant economic and social issues โ€ข Re-establishing of community long term sustainability through lobbying for support โ€ข Increase awareness on childrenโ€™s rights and responsibilities โ€ข Increasing access to educational opportunities whether formal or informal โ€ข Providing children with protection, food and clothing, medical care and counseling โ€ข Providing opportunities for recreation and learning social skills โ€ข Providing voice for the oppress and the disadvantage group in the community โ€ข And most importantly exchanging information with other local and international humanitarian organizations.

ContextERONet (Enabling Rural Opportunity Network) is a women-centered grassroots nonprofit working in Lamwo and Kitgum Districts, Northern Uganda, among war-affected and refugee-hosting communities. Our work focuses on girlsโ€™ education, womenโ€™s empowerment, and rural innovation through STEM and community development. This assignment will directly contribute to increasing ERONetโ€™s visibility during The Human Race, a global campaign organized by HSI, our fiscal sponsor. Volunteers will help amplify the voices of rural girls and promote ERONetโ€™s mission in a professional and creative way.

Task DescriptionERONet is looking for a creative and committed Graphic Design & Multimedia Volunteer to support our participation in The Human Race 2025โ€”a global virtual walk/run/ride event taking place from August 16โ€“24, 2025. This campaign raises awareness for our work empowering rural girls in crisis-prone Northern Uganda through education and innovation. The volunteer will help design engaging visuals for our online outreach and campaign visibility. Specific tasks include: Creating social media banners, flyers, and posters to promote our Human Race campaign Designing infographics or mini visual reports that show the impact of ERONetโ€™s work in girlsโ€™ education and rural STEM Editing or captioning impact photos and videos for social media Providing mockups of Human Race t-shirt graphics for promotional use Coordinating with our content writer and social media volunteer to align messaging and visuals All communication will be via email, LinkedIn or WhatsApp. Youโ€™ll be given our logos, example materials, and any media (photos, videos, stories) needed. Content will be reviewed by ERONet before publishing. You will not be asked to create donation appeals, only promotional materials for awareness and participation. At the end of the assignment, youโ€™ll receive a UNV Certificate of Appreciation acknowledging your contribution to a global social impact campaign.
