We are looking to recruit the Deputy ย head of the Banja Luka regional Office for the Office of the High Representative (OHR) international body that ensures civilian implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
As Deputy Head, you will support the Deputy High Representative and Head of Office in leading the team and advancing OHRโs mandate. This role involves strategic engagement with local stakeholders, policy analysis, and coordination of office operations.
- Coordinate the effective management of the Banja Luka Regional Office.ย
- Advise on policy issues and provide analysis of political and economic developments.ย
- Maintain relationships with government institutions, NGOs, and other partners.ย
- Supervise advisors and staff, and represent the Head of Office when required.ย
- Support OHR objectives through direct engagement with authorities and stakeholders.

- University degree in political science, international relations, or related field.ย
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in management.ย
- Strong knowledge of Bosnia and Herzegovinaโs political and economic context, especially Republika Srpska.ย
- Proven experience in political reporting and analysis.ย
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.ย
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local language is an asset.ย
- Flexibility to travel and work extended hours when needed.
