AMRO is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified professional to serve asย Deputy Director (CMIM, Strategy and Coordination), a key Senior Management position reporting directly to the AMRO Director. This key leadership role will manage AMRO's strategy and coordination functions, supervise AMRO's policy and review functions, and support the Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralisation (CMIM), while also providing strategic oversight for AMRO's TA activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Deputy Director (CMIM, Strategy and Coordination) will report to the AMRO Director and perform the following functions:
Manage mid- to long-term issues of strategic importance, particularly those with implications for the direction and performance of AMRO in the long run (such as developing AMRO's strategic plan, including MTIP, TA strategy, etc.).Lead and manage AMRO's policy and review functions, strengthening AMRO's surveillance policies, providing independent reviews of surveillance reports and CMIM program documents, and developing policies to support the RFA/CMIM reforms (*examples of the reforms include changes to financing structure and introduction of new facilities).Lead and manage the planning, implementation, and supervision of AMRO's support function for the CMIM mechanism and strategy design (benchmark setting, guideline design, CMIM legal framework, etc.) in coordination with the Chief Economist, and support the smooth CMIM activation process.Lead and manage AMRO's communications activities and enhance AMRO's outreach, visibility, and credibility at an international level.Build and strengthen AMRO's relationships and strategic collaborations with other international organizations (IOs) in related fields.Lead and manage AMRO's engagements and communications with ASEAN+3 member authorities.Lead and manage AMRO's provision of secretariat support to the ASEAN+3 financial cooperation, AMRO Flagship Forum, and ASEAN+3 Finance Think-tank Network.Coordinate with other relevant Senior Management to ensure the successful execution of all job responsibilities.Perform other functions as may be determined by the Director in accordance with the AMRO Agreement.ย
