Work LocationBeirut Expected duration3 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Data Analysis Consultant will work under the supervision of the Information Management & Reporting Officer to strengthen data management, analysis, and reporting within the Protection Team. The consultant will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Ensure centralized protection data management by working with the Information Management & Reporting Officer to standardize data collection, entry, and analysis processes across protection activities. 2. Develop user-friendly data collection tools for partners and ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across all protection data sets. 3. Digitize and administer surveys and assessments, with a focus on the PRS Intentions Survey, including providing monitoring, training, and ongoing support for data collection, as well as conducting comprehensive data analysis. 4. Support data analysis for Integrated Assessments (lAs) by utilizing advanced Excel techniques (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, and statistical functions) to produce accurate, actionable insights that inform protection programming and advocacy. 5. Provide technical support and training to UNRWA staff and external partners on data collection, entry, and analysis processes. Ensure timely and accurate data submissions from partners and resolve any data-related issues. 6. Administer the External Service Mapping (ESM) tool, ensuring data accuracy, quality control, and regular updates, and provide ongoing training and technical support to the Protection Team. 7. Build and customize interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI for internal use and Excel for external partners to support real-time decision-making and self-service reporting. 8. Manage end-to-end data processes, including data cleaning, validation, analysis, and reporting, and perform routine data management tasks to ensure ongoing data integrity and operational efficiency. 9. Support incident tracking and reporting processes, including assisting with violent incident data analysis and ensuring timely, accurate incident mapping and reporting to enhance situational awareness. Qualifications/special skillsA University Degree in MIS (Management information System) or a related field Minimum 2 years of experience in data management, data analysis, information technology, data collection, or related field is required LanguagesExcellent oral and written communication skills in [both language].
