Organizational Context The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the worldโs largest humanitarian organization, with a network of 191-member National Societies (NSs). The Global Humanitarian Services and Supply Chain Management (GHS&SCM) department is part of the Humanitarian Diplomacy and Digitalization Division. This role is part of the Global Humanitarian Services & Supply Chain Management (GHS &SCM) department and reports to the Global Lead, Supply Chain Digital and Innovation.
Job Purpose
The Coordinator, Supply Chain Procedures, Learning & Sustainability will play a key role in implementing the IFRCโs global supply chain strategy, with a strong focus on procedures, training, and champion for sustainability.
This role will lead the finalization, deployment, and ongoing improvement of the Supply Chain Operations Manual and related procedures, ensuring their consistent application across the organization.
The role will drive the development and rollout of a comprehensive Supply Chain Learning Strategy. This includes defining learning pathways aligned with the Logistics Competency Framework, creating centralized training materials, and collaborating with regional teams to deliver engaging and effective training using modern adult learning techniques.
Additionally, the role will serve as a champion for supply chain sustainability, overseeing the implementation of the Sustainable Procurement Roadmap and any other sustainable actions defined in the global roadmap for supply chain.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Supply Chain Operations Manual
โข Lead and coordinate the finalisation (including consultations), approval and launch/deployment of the new supply chain procedures for IFRC.
โข Develop, roll-out, maintain and continuously improve the Supply Chain Operations procedures, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
โข Integrate the ERP functionalities in the procedure trainings.
โข Develop NS minimum standards for supply chain related to our procedures.
Compliance
โข Be the focal point for supply chain procedure and ensure global compliance with donors, statutory, and regulatory donor requirements, providing technical expertise to regional and country offices on supply chain procedures for the regions when required.
โข Respond or coordinate audit requirement for supply chain.
โข Work in partnership on assessment tools (i.e. CRRA)
Learning and Capacity Building
โข Create IFRC Supply Chain Learning Strategy in line with the SC Competency Framework, defining learning paths for all tiers and competencies.
โข Review, update and develop SCM content of all IFRC trainings, developing adaptive learning tools, incorporating ERP modules where relevant.
โข Develop an IFRC logistics training catalogue including all logistics training programs, training curricula, qualification processes, detailing concepts, duration, target audiences, and learning objectives for each course.
โข Identify potential partners to provide identified training needs and lead potential partnerships to allow tapping on to learning opportunities delivered by partners.
โข Gather, design and deliver standardized and centralized training materials and toolkits for IFRC/NS staff (including surge teams) on the new supply chain operations manual, ensuring effective adoption of new supply chain procedures and sustainability practices across the IFRC.
โข Create training plans with the regions & NS for the roll-out as well as drop-in session plans (online courses, inperson workshops, hybrid models).
โข Support regions in delivering training programs (using latest adult learning approaches), socialisation and maintaining organizational readiness on supply chain processes and compliance (incl. Emergency talent pool preparedness).

Sustainability
โข Set strategic direction and coordinate with the Supply Chain team for implementation of the sustainable procurement roadmap into supply chain practices, ensuring meaningful progress toward environmental targets.
โข Lead the implementation of sustainable action points in supply chain cascading from the global IFRC sustainability roadmap. This includes setting timelines, defining measurable goals, and developing targeted communication to support environmentally responsible practices across the global supply chain.
โข Transition IFRCโs pre-positioned stock specifications to sustainable specification stock globally with clear timelines and targets in the IFRC ICRC Standard Products catalogue.
โข Produce the annual Supply Chain Sustainability Report and scorecard.
โข Act as a supply chain focal point and champion for sustainability
Stakeholder Engagement
โข Build partnerships with stakeholders, including ICRC, WREC, and private sector actors, to advance IFRCโs sustainability goals where relevant.
โข Engage with the IFRC network to disseminate the updated supply chain procedures, tools and templates.
โข Collaborate with the global Communications team to develop marketing, endorsement, and communication content that highlights IFRCโs Supply Chain initiatives and achievements.
Education

University degree in business administration, logistics, sustainability or another relevant fieldPreferred

Experience
Required
5 to 7 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement, including at least 3 years in a humanitarian or international development context. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing procedures, manuals, SOPs, and compliance frameworks in a large and complex organization. Proven track record in designing, coordinating, and delivering training programs, including e-learning and blended approaches, ideally in a global/multicultural setting based on latest adult learning approaches. Experience in driving or supporting sustainability initiatives within supply chain functions, including sustainable procurement practices. Strong background in cross-functional project management and experience in leading initiatives across global or regional operations. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and advocacy, including partnerships with external organizations, private sector actors, donors, and academic institutions. Experience in capacity-building programs and creating tools or guidelines for diverse global audiences using latest adult learning theories. Prior experience in the humanitarian sector or working with international organizations (e.g., IFRC, NGOs, ICRC) is a strong asset.Knowledge, Skills and Languages
