PROJECT DESCRIPTION

EpiC-HIV is a multi-year global project funded by the U.S. Department of State that provides strategic assistance and direct service delivery to help countries achieve the 95-95-95 global HIV targets. The project aims to promote the self-reliant management of national HIV programs by improving HIV case-finding, treatment programming, and viral load suppression among individuals with behaviors that put them at risk. Now in its sixth year of implementation, EpiC-HIV Philippines continues to focus its work in Greater Metro Manila to address critical gaps and bottlenecks in the countryโ€™s HIV response.

In addition, EpiC-HIV has been designated by the Department of Health (DOH) to serve as the official secretariat to support the introduction of Lenacapavir in the Philippines as a new strategy for HIV prevention. This role includes coordinating stakeholders, developing implementation frameworks, monitoring the secretariatโ€™s action plan, and ensuring that this innovative long-acting injectable PrEP option is integrated into the national HIV prevention efforts.
