The WHO Global report on health equity for persons with disabilities provides the latest evidence on health system approaches for disability inclusion in the health sector and offers guidance and recommendations for country-level action, focusing on opportunities for such inclusion. It identifies key areas and actions for improving disability inclusion in health. The Global report demonstrates that countries have an obligation to address the health inequities faced by persons with disabilities and someย progress has been made in recent years, the world is still far from realizing this right for many persons with disabilities whoย continue to die earlier, have poorer health, and experience more limitations in everyday functioning than others. Furthermore, the Sustainable Development Goals and global health priorities will not progress without ensuring health for all.
Given its importance and to maximize its use in WHO Region and Member States, this Global report has been translated into official UN languages including Arabic.
