Result of ServiceA comprehensive and fully compliant national Kigali Implementation Plan (KIP) for Oman is prepared, validated through stakeholder consultations, and finalized in accordance with the guidelines of the Multilateral Fund. The finalized KIP shall be submitted to the 97th meeting of the Executive Committee for consideration and approval. Work LocationHome-Based Expected duration4.5 months Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare a national Kigali Implementation Plan (KIP), including data collection, verification, analysis, and drafting of the report following Multilateral Fund (MLF) guidelines and requirements. - Conduct comprehensive consultations with national stakeholders, including government agencies, industry representatives, and other relevant institutions, to ensure accurate data collection and validation of information. - Undertake analysis of collected data, identify consumption trends, and establish baselines and targets in line with MLF methodologies. - Formulate strategies and project proposals for meeting Kigali Amendment targets, including identifying specific interventions and associated costs. - Submit draft KIP document for review by UNEP and national stakeholders, incorporate feedback received, and finalize the document for submission to the Multilateral Fund. - Ensure timely delivery of all expected outputs, reports, and documents, as per the agreed timeline. Qualifications/special skills- Advanced university degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, environmental), environmental sciences, or a related field. - Minimum 10 years of experience in Montreal Protocol-related project design and implementation - Proven experience in preparing HPMPs, KIPs, or related project documents for ExCom submission. - Experience in verification, data collection, and preparation of monitoring and evaluation reports - Familiarity with the RAC and MAC sectors, energy efficiency integration, and technician training/certification systems - Experience in West Asia is an asset. Languages- Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable. Additional InformationNot available.
