Assignment/Activity: This consultancy aims to provide expert opinion and guidance to contribute to the development and operational streamlining of the project. In particular, s/he will cover the assignment of clinical aspects of the study participants of the project, while contributing to the overall management of the clinical diagnosis and reporting to the Principal Investigator of the project as per study requirements.

Scope of work:
The consultant will contribute to the development and operational streamlining of โ1/2-Bangladesh Center for Global Environmental and Occupational Health- Bangladeshโ. His/her mandate is derived from and must fully comply with the overall Terms of Reference for the consultancy. In particular, s/he will cover the assignment of clinical aspects of the study participants of the project, while contributing to the overall management of the clinical diagnosis and reporting as per study requirements. S/he reports to the Principal Investigator of the project.
Specific Responsibilities: Major responsibilities would include the following-
Participate in online/offline discussions with the Principal Investigator (PI) and other team members of the study regularly. Regular communication, consultation with the Physician of the project. Assess the subclinical cardiovascular pathology of study participants through Electro Cardiogram (ECG) report, when any abnormalities are found by the Study Physician, or check the lung function and lung pathology of study participants through spirometry report, when any abnormalities are found by the Study Physician Ensure data quality of ECG and suggest repeat testing, or ensure data quality of spirometry and suggest repeat testing. Advice for Echocardiogram based on ECG report or suggest for Chest X-ray based on Spirometry report when necessary, and interpret the report and give feedback. Interpret the Echocardiogram report and give further instruction or advice for High-Resolution Computed tomography (HRCT) of chest if required on the basis of chest X-ray report and participant's complaints, and interpret the report, followed by further instruction. Diagnosis of health condition by clinical coordination and investigation reports. Provide patient care by video conferencing when required. Advice for other necessary investigations according to the participant's health condition. Refer for consultation with other Health Specialists on the basis of the participant's need. Review the response to treatment of the participant, if any. Give necessary advice regarding the improvement of the participant's cardiac or respiratory health where needed. Expected deliverables Assess the subclinical cardiovascular pathology of study participants through ECG, or to check the lung function and lung pathology. Advice for Echocardiogram based on ECG report or suggest for Chest X-ray based on Spirometry report. Interpret the Echocardiogram report and give further instruction or advice, interpret the HRCT of chest report, followed by further instruction. Diagnosis of health conditions by clinical coordination and investigation reports. Provide patient care by video conferencing and participate in meetings with the PI. Required qualifications and experience The consultant must have an MBBS and MD degree and specialization in Cardiology or Pulmonology S/he should be at least an Associate Professor in the above-mentioned area S/ he must have over 15 years of experience in a government/private hospital. Have excellent knowledge about primary health care service.
