Introduction
Country: Zimbabwe
Description of the Assignment: The Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) relies on its digital infrastructure to support critical regulatory functions, including the registration, monitoring, and control of medicines and medical devices. However, the increasing sophistication of cyber threats and vulnerabilities poses a significant risk to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of MCAZ’s sensitive data and systems. As regulatory requirements and security threats evolve, it is critical for MCAZ to strengthen its cybersecurity posture to ensure compliance with standards and protect its digital assets. There is a need to implement a Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) process. This will enable MCAZ to proactively identify vulnerabilities, simulate real-world attacks, and strengthen its defenses against cyber threats, ensuring the resilience of its IT systems and the protection of critical data.
