How can you make a difference? 

Objective:

The consultant will provide technical and coordination support to UNICEF’s Private and Public Partnerships team and the broader ECO office, focusing on: 

Building internal capacity on private sector engagement and child rights in business. 

Strategic resource mobilization and partnerships with public and private sector in support of priority thematic areas such as Nutrition, ECD/Family Friendly Policies, Climate, Girls Empowerment and financing for children initiatives. 

Ensuring effective cross-sectoral grant coordination and donor engagement in collaboration with Programme teams. 

Scope of work:

Key functions, accountabilities, and related duties or tasks include: 

Under the supervision of the Chief of Private and Public Partnerships, the consultant will be responsible for the following tasks: 

-Resource Mobilization & Financing Strategies and Donor Engagement 

Contribute to resource mobilisation and partnership efforts for thematic profiles such as Nutrition, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Girls’ Empowerment, and Climate Action. 

Contribute to development and implementation of financing for children (F4C) workplan, including engagement with IFIs and mobile network operators.

Contribute to resource mobilization strategies and donor engagement plans for priority areas (such as Nutrition, ECD/Family Friendly Policies, Climate, Girls Empowerment). 

Cross-Sectoral Grant Coordination & Reporting 

-Support the coordination of grant management process for Canada, Power 4 Girls, Baxter, Mastercard across programme teams and donors.  

-Ensure alignment of donor requirements with UNICEF programme implementation.  

-Support donor reporting and budget monitoring. 

Additional Partnerships Support 

Collect, synthesize, and draft materials for engagement with private and public sector partners, including concept notes, appeals, advocacy messages, proposals.
