TRAFFIC International is a charity and limited company registered in the UK. TRAFFICโ€™s head office, based in Cambridge UK, provides leadership, coordination, cross-regional and corporate functions. Project delivery is managed through a network of global programme offices operating under the auspices of the UK charity.

We work to change and strengthen international and national policy, as well as across the entire trade supply chain to make sure that any trade in wild species is sustainable, legal and safe.

The salary range for this position is between ยฃ28,000 to ยฃ32,000 p.a., depending on experience and skills. JOB DESCRIPTION CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES

The Communications Support Manager will play a key role in the small but highly efficient and impactful TRAFFIC communications team. The priority will be on creating high quality story-led content for our digital channels including website, social media and direct marketing.This role would suit someone who can work fast to a high standard, understands a successful social media campaign, can write simply and clearly, and of course, who loves nature.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Core focus
โ€ข Create and schedule engaging and timely social media content, ensuring a consistent brand voice, under the guidance of the Media Manager.
โ€ข Support online fundraising and direct marketing campaigns through the development and review of high-performing visual and written content, under the guidance of the Communications Manager.

Supporting work
โ€ข Repurpose complex research into digestible messages to reach TRAFFICโ€™s target audiences across a variety of platforms.
โ€ข Source stories of change from within TRAFFIC and seek novel ways to tell them through our platforms by working closely with programme colleagues.
โ€ข Use design tools within the Adobe Creative Suite such as InDesign to support the design team as needed
โ€ข Upload content onto the website, ensuring high quality visual presentation and consistency with TRAFFIC brand values.
โ€ข Be first point of contact within the Communications team for designated TRAFFIC projects, and ensure communication needs are met
โ€ข Analyze cross-platform social media metrics to extract actionable insights, using this to refine posts for maximum engagement
โ€ข Produce monthly impact reports based on media clippings service, web and social media analytics
โ€ข Contribute to the effective delivery of the Communications Strategy and Organisational Strategy.
โ€ข Work collaboratively and proactively with all colleagues within TRAFFICโ€™s network to maximise opportunities and impact. REQUIREMENTS โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent training
โ€ข A minimum of two years of experience in communications, public relations or journalism is required.
โ€ข Postgraduate qualification in journalism, media, marketing or other communications skills is desirable
โ€ข Fluency in English with excellent English writing skills is essential, with working knowledge of any other languages an advantage.
โ€ข Excellent writing and copyediting skills with good attention to detail
โ€ข Experience with online marketing and/or fundraising campaigns, including content development, email automations, and performance analysis
โ€ข Proven experience of using social media and associated management tools to obtain specific results
โ€ข Extensive experience of using the Adobe Creative Suite and additional design tools such as Canva, and the ability to quickly learn other design programmes as needed
โ€ข Excellent collaborator with proven experience of productive working in a fast-moving environment
