    Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

    The position of Communications Officer is assigned to the Knowledge Support Division(DCKD), within the Department of Communications and Knowledge Management (DOCK).

    The position will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines. The incumbent will report to the Designated International Staff and Officer (as applicable)

    Your Role

    As a Communications Officer, you will support DCKD in ensuring that all ADB internal stakeholders are well-informed, connected, and aligned with the bank's vision, goals, and activities.

    You will:

  • Help develop and support internal communications governance and policies including for internal knowledge sharing.
Assist in the development, maintenance, and management of corporate digital communication and knowledge management platforms, specifically the ADB Intranet, OneADB Today newsletter, support for SharePoint Sites and internal digital signage, and develop, maintain, and manage related digital tools. Coordinate and drive ongoing improvements in the integration of AI-powered tools across the ADB Intranet. Produce internal messaging, campaigns, and events. Coordinate and contribute to the planning and execution of HQ-based events involving ADB Management, including the development of strategic internal communications and knowledge sharing. Assist in the production, editing, managing, and dissemination of internal communications materials and platforms. Support staff engagement and feedback mechanisms. Support coordination with departments for aligning and amplifying internal messages. Support crisis and incident internal communications. Contribute to the recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews of internal communications consultants/contractors and service providers and support their day-to-day management. Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by supervising technical international staff and reflected in the workplan.

Qualifications

You will need:

Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, information and/or knowledge management, or a related area preferably with advanced training. At least 8 years of relevant work experience. Experience managing and optimizing internal communication systems such as intranet and email, among others. Demonstrated familiarity with Information Technology applications related to knowledge work. Proven ability in creating engaging and impactful digital content for various channels and different stakeholder groups. Working knowledge of content management systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Additional Information

This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.

This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff's particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff's performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
