Work LocationMonrovia, Liberia Expected duration1.5 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesOrganizational Setting and Reporting The UN Secretary-General in 2019 launched a bold and new global reform which repositioned the UN Development System to deliver more effectively and efficiently with the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. As part of the new UN development system, the new UN Resident Coordination as well as the UN development systems has been working to deliver as one (DAO). This approach comes to improve the synergetic gains of collaborating work as well as the enhancement of the comparative advantages of the UN agencies, funds, and programmes to collectively support the Government of Liberia in achieving its national priorities, the SDGs and the 2063 Agendas. This has implied that the UN Country Team (UNCT) works jointly while recognizing the distinct mandates of each of the UN agencies and programmes. The United Nations is developing the 2026-2030 UN Cooperation Framework (UNCF). The UNCF is the collective principal instrument to support the government development agenda. The UN therefore seeks to hire a consultant to design products for the CF Launch as well as to produce high-quality coffee table book and video product that showcase the UN’s collective achievements in Liberia. Responsibilities: The consultant will work with the Communications and Advocacy Officer at the RCO in Liberia, under the leadership of the Head of RCO, and be responsible for the following: 1. Design of the Cooperation Framework and Cooperation Framework launch products. - Design & Layout: Develop visual concepts, photo spread, summary document , communication products for the Cooperation Framework. 2. Production of Coffee Table Book - Content Development: Review reports, conduct interviews, draft narratives. - Design & Layout: Develop visual concepts, infographics, and photo spreads. - Final Deliverables: Professionally designed book, print and web versions, native design files. 3. Commemorative Video Production - Script Development: Draft script based on book and ARR content. - Production: Voice talent, graphic design, animation, music. - Review & Finalization: Feedback incorporation, final video in multiple formats. Qualifications/special skillsA minimum of Bachelor's Degree in communication, graphic design, visual storytelling, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design, video production, storytelling. Proven ability to produce high-quality advocacy materials. LanguagesFluency in oral and written English is required.
