Where you come in:

The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe office environment, supporting staff well-being and productivity. Working closely with the Administration team, the Cleaner ensures high hygiene standards through daily cleaning tasks, contributing to the smooth delivery of programs.

You will make an impact by:

Office Maintenance & Hygiene

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all office spaces, including workstations, meeting rooms, restrooms, kitchen, and common areas. Ensure proper disposal and segregation of office waste according to guidelines. Refill and monitor hygiene supplies such as hand soap, toilet paper, and cleaning materials; report stock shortages. Assist with room setup, refreshments, and cleanup during staff meetings or events.

Health, Safety & Risk Management

Follow safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and cleaning chemicals. Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to relevant staff promptly. Act as a role model for safety, report incidents or risks, and support a safe workplace environment.

Child Protection & Safeguarding

Maintain a child-safe environment at the workplace, always acting in the best interests of children. Comply with the Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate professional boundaries and the highest standard of behavior around children. Promptly report any child safety concerns through appropriate internal channels.

· Previous experience in cleaning roles, ideally in an office or organizational setting

· Good understanding of safe cleaning practices and correct use of cleaning chemicals

· Ability to work independently, manage time well, and complete tasks with minimal supervision

· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment

· Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures

· Friendly and respectful communication skills when interacting with staff and visitors

· Flexibility to assist with additional office tasks as needed (e.g., preparing tea, setting up rooms for meetings or events)
