Work LocationRemote Expected duration4 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is a partnership of governments, intergovernmental organizations, and representatives of the private sector, the environmental community, and other members of civil society. The CCAC is the only international initiative working on integrated climate and clean air solutions to reduce the rate of near-term warming. It focuses on fast action to reduce emissions of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) including methane, black carbon, HFCs and tropospheric ozone. More information about the CCAC is here: www.ccacoalition.org The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is seeking a โCCAC AQMx Knowledge Management UX Consultantโ to support the expansion and improvement of the AQMx platform (Phase 2). The consultant will be responsible for enhancing the UI/UX design of the platform based on Phase 1 mockups, user feedback, and performance analytics to ensure a highly usable and interactive experience tailored for air quality managers using the knowledge platform to access information and guidance. Objectives: 1. Evaluate and enhance the AQMx Phase 1 UX structure. 2.Design new user journeys for AQMx Phase 2 features (e.g., knowledge library, stakeholder maps, case study wizard). 3. Improve visual consistency and accessibility of the platform. 4. Conduct UX testing with AQMx focus group 5. Deliver responsive mockups for desktop and mobile. 6. Document interaction flows and handover files for development. Qualifications/special skillsAdvanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in web design, UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. A first-level university degree with 2 additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. - Minimum 3 years of professional experience in UX/UI design for digital platforms, ideally in the climate, environmental, or public sector domains, is required. - Demonstrated experience in wireframing, prototyping, and conducting user research is required. - Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools is required. - Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and responsive web design principles is required. - Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are required. - Experience working in an agile environment with developers and product managers is desirable. - Experience with knowledge management, data visualization and responsive design best practices is desirable. - Familiarity with front-end development constraints is an asset.
