ย Context Under the direct supervision of the National Finance Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of cashier duties.
- Perform fees collection and ensure all collected money as well as cash of the office is kept in a secured and safe place in compliance with IOM related instructions.
- Maintain officeโs petty cash/Cash for work and be responsible for reporting on a regular basis on the status of fund.
- Process and release duly approved cash payments and ensure they are supported by signed receipts.
- Handle/monitor banking duties such as deposits, withdrawals, follow-up on bank statements and other banking information as needed by the Resources Management Unit.
- Issue proper receipts for all cash and card payments and to ensure that all cash and card payments are banked intact at the CoB .
- Timely recordย data in the systems.
- ย Identify any reconciliation difference on daily basis and investigate and refer them in the first instance to the direct supervisor to determine the necessary action to be taken.
- Maintain an efficient filing system of cash receipts and payments with appropriate supporting documents.
- Advise theย National Finance Officer the petty cash/Cash for Work balances daily.
- Accomplish tasks within the given time-table,
- Perform any other related tasks as may be assigned. Education
- Completed secondary education and/or certificate in accounting from an accredited institutionย
- 4 yearsโ experience (or 2 years for candidates holding bachelor/university degree) in accounting and cash managementย
- Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Good analytical skills and excellent knowledge of computer applications โis a MUST.ย
- High level of computer literacy e) Sound knowledge of MS Office, specifically EXCEL.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Skills
- In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
- Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
- Knowledge of financial rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS). Languages
- Fluency in both English and Vietnamese IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
