Call for Applications: Project Consultant (Emergency Response)

Project Context and Scope
  Emergency response in Slovakia to displacement caused by the conflict in Ukraine. The emergency response programme addresses the multi-sectoral critical needs of people fleeing ongoing hostilities in Ukraine
  Organizational Department / Unit to which the Consultant is contributing     The Emergency response Unit Tasks to be performed under this contract
Provide consultancy assistance in the implementation of project activities 

1. Support operationalization of the cash-based mechanism to address the basic needs of the beneficiaries
2. Provide critical technical support to the project team and the Implementing partner
3. Conduct a monitoring field trip minimum once a month 
4. Support in reporting and with ad hoc information requests from the donor 
5. Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present critical life-saving information/data on specific project topics in the context of the Emergency Response to the Ukraine Crisis under the Framework of the Regional Response Plan 2025 – 2026
6. Draft status reports, correspondence, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations, and other forms of documentation.
7. Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records. 
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.   Performance indicators for the evaluation of results
   • Deliverables are completed according to shared instructions.
   • Time sheets per worked hour submitted. Education
     • Bachelor's degree in social sciences or related fields Experience
       • Humanitarian and/ or international development background – an advantage;
       • Ability to take initiative and act with autonomy;
       • Personal commitment, efficiency and drive for results, ability to work effectively and harmoniously within assigned team as well as in cross-cultural work environment
       • Attention to detail  Skills
         • Strong writing, reporting and communication skills;
         • Computer skills: MS Office moderately advanced; Familiarity with Teams and Zoom communication platform Languages
           • Knowledge of English language - required, Slovak language – an advantage IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish. Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.   Travel required
