JOB CONTEXT:
Humanity & Inclusion (HI) has initiated its programmatic response to the Sudan crisis in January 2024. Today, HI is scaling up its response from both geographic and modalities/sectorial perspectives.

In particular, HI has deployed emergency response teams in Darfur, to setup its operations and initiate its response in the western parts of Sudan. HI team has been present in Darfur since December 2024, implementing inclusive humanitarian action, and basic needs activities (WASH and Food security via cash assistance). HI team is also assessing other sectors such as Functional and Physical rehabilitation, and mutualized logistics. The advertised vacancy is to be part of that team working on basic needs activities. In addition, HI is joining a Consortium led by PUI to implement a multisectoral project in Al Jazeera State starting in July 2025 (SAF-controlled area).

YOUR MISSION:
Reporting to the Area Manager, as Basic Needs Project Manager, you contribute to the implementation of the mandate and the 10-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion in the country where you are based. You are responsible for implementing the project. You ensure optimal quality and the impact of the project implemented by means of a delegation system with appropriate oversight mechanisms. With all the other HI managers, the project manager shares responsibility for the sound management and effective functioning of the global organization.

In this framework, your main missions are:

Responsibility 1: Assessment, Planning and Preparation: 

Responsibility 2: Ensure the implementation of the project, in line with the logical framework and allocated budget

Responsibility 3: Ensure that project implementation complies with the existing frameworks

Responsibility 4: Ensure project monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning

Responsibility 5: Ensure project data management

Responsibility 6: Coordinate the teams involved in the project

Responsibility 7: Contribute to external project communication

 

Mission 4: Emergency Preparedness and Response

Requirements

YOUR PROFILE:

You have at least 2 years of experience in multisectoral project management, with strong preference for cash assistance, livelihoods and/or WASH projects, You have proven experience conducting assessments in complex and conflict-affected environments You have experience in emergency response in highly volatile and remote environments, You master project management skills such as planning, budgeting and reporting, You show strong organizational and reporting skills.
