Organizational Setting

UTF/BRA/089/BRAย 
The project objective is to contribute to the national processes of strengthening family farmers in Brazil for poverty reduction and rural revitalization. The outcome is to implement differentiated policies and programs that improve the capacities of the national government, local and family farmers in areas such as ATER (rural extension and technical advisory services), Credit Programs, land access and governance, access to markets and the strengthening of cooperativism.


Reporting Lines

The incumbent reports to the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil โ€“ Programme.


Technical Focus

To carry out diagnosis and specialized research on the needs and potential of audiovisual communication of the Executive Secretariat of the MDA, with the objective of proposing strategies and solutions to improve the production of audiovisual content, ensuring greater reach and impact of public policies aimed at the development of family farming and agroecology.


Tasks and Responsibilities

In close collaboration with Office of Communications (OCC) branches and appropriate Communication focal points, the incumbent will:


Survey of the Audiovisual Needs of the Executive Secretariat:ย 

a. Conduct interviews with members of the Executive Secretariat, managers and teams to identify the main demands for audiovisual communication.ย 
b. Analyze the challenges and limitations faced in the production of institutional videos and audiovisual materials.ย 
c. Identify the training needs of the internal team, in addition to the demands of production and distribution of audiovisual content.ย 
d. Conduct a detailed survey of the available audiovisual equipment and resources, including the use of institutional distribution platforms.ย 


Mapping of Audiovisual Production Processes:ย 

a. Study the existing processes for the creation of audiovisual content, from planning to final execution.ย 
b. Evaluate the adequacy of the approval and distribution processes of institutional videos.ย 
c. Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in current workflows, proposing improvements.ย 


Analysis of Performance and Effectiveness of Audiovisual Content:ย 

a. Evaluate the results of existing videos and audiovisual materials, such as metrics of views, engagement, and impact on institutional platforms.ย 
b. Perform a qualitative analysis of the receptivity of the target audiences, based on the videos produced.ย 
c. To propose improvements in the use and effectiveness of audiovisual content to achieve institutional objectives.ย 


Development of a Strategic Plan for Audiovisual Production:ย 

a. Based on the diagnosis, prepare a strategic plan for the production of audiovisual content, aligned with the needs of the Executive Secretariat.ย 
b. Define the guidelines for the production, distribution and use of videos on institutional platforms.ย 
c. Establish strategies for integrating audiovisual content into existing communication channels, including social networks, institutional website and other media.ย 


Development of a Training Plan and Good Practices in Audiovisual Strategy:ย

a. Plan and conduct a training course for employees of the Executive Secretariat on good practices in the production of institutional audiovisual content.ย 
b. Develop a practical guide on best practices in the production of videos and audiovisual content, including guidelines for editing, recording, and use of equipment.ย 
c. Monitor the implementation of training and provide ongoing support to employees to ensure the application of good practices.ย 


Preparation of Final Report and Evaluation of Results:ย 

a. After the implementation of the audiovisual strategies, evaluate the impacts of the actions carried out.ย 
b. Prepare a detailed technical report on the results of the consultancy, based on metrics such as reach, engagement and effectiveness of audiovisual productions.ย 
c. Provide recommendations on how to continue and improve the audiovisual strategies implemented, based on the analysis of the results obtained.

Minimum Requirements ย 

โ€ข ย  ย University degree in Communication, according to the CAPES table of areas of knowledge.
โ€ข ย  ย Minimum of 5 years of experience in audiovisual production, storytelling or institutional communication
โ€ข ย  ย Working knowledge of English and Portuguese;
โ€ข ย  ย National of Brazil or resident of the country with valid work permit
