We are seeking an Associate Researcher (Europe Regional Office) for a 2-year-regular position (renewable) to work within Europe Regional Office at the International Vaccine Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. (Duty station: Stockholm, Sweden)
Job Description
The incumbent is supporting the implementation of project-related research and stakeholder relations. This role ensures smooth project execution through logistics coordination, resource management, and data handling, facilitating collaboration between project partners and stakeholders. Additionally, the position contributes to data analysis, database development, meeting organization and execution, and scientific reporting while also providing scientific and administrative support to senior leadership, as needed. With a balance of research and operational responsibilities, the incumbent plays a crucial role in coordination and planning of activities related to project execution and stakeholder engagement with a particular focus on the EU countries, including the Nordics.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Support project-related research and stakeholder engagement
Provide support to principal investigator/project consortium with stakeholder mapping, preparation of surveys and related materials, data analysis, and dissemination and communication activities. Conduct a desktop analysis of existing capabilities across the vaccine value chain in the Nordic countries โ Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland. Contribute to database development and data collection. Monitor database cleaning and coding to ensure proper data is available for analysis and prepare an analysis of the mapping data. Contribute to the survey/outreach to mapped organizations across the end-to-end vaccine ecosystem in the Nordic countries (but not limited to), including consolidation of survey results and incorporation of outcomes in the Nordic database.
2. Support Nordic workshop logistics and event management
Contribute to the planning and development of a Nordic workshop including supporting preparatory meetings with partner organizations, drafting agendas and minutes, preparing and coordinating presentations, and preparation and execution of the Nordic workshop on pandemic preparedness and response in the Nordic region. Provide support in the project consortium with Nordic workshop logistics, including the venue, agenda development, invitations, and activities related to workshop execution. Create a workshop report of outcomes from the Nordic workshop. Provide support to PI in project resource management efforts and follow-up with internal and external colleagues to ensure timelines and deadlines are adhered to. Handle confidential information in a professional and discrete manner.
3. Support Publication
Analyze data for trends and associations for publication Contribute to drafting/editing/reviewing of any additional scientific publications Participation and presentation of results at relevant international scientific meeting/conferences

Knowledge of data analysis programs. Master-level training courses in Public Health are preferred.
