Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Technology experience in this area includes but is not limited to:
โข Solarwinds Observability.
โข ManageEngine App Manager.
โข Opensource monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
โข Microsoft Azure monitoring services.
โข Scripting and automation.
โข Design, automate, and optimize observability platforms for logging, metrics, and tracing.
โข Expertise in consolidating and analysing application / system logs at enterprise scale, including familiarity with distributed tracing technologies, integrating with ITSM platforms.
โข Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for task automation. Experience with Terraform or Ansible for deploying and configuring monitoring / logging infrastructure.
โข Strong understanding of protocols (WMI, SSH, SNMP) and methods (API, Traps) for data gathering.
โข Knowledge of Azure monitoring services, container monitoring.
โข Understanding of telemetry standards for interoperability
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
โข Designing, Implementing and Supporting COTS and Open Source monitoring solutions
โข Understanding of software development principles and troubleshooting application issues
โข Understanding of infrastructure management principles and troubleshooting practices
โข Understanding of performance monitoring approaches
โข Knowledge of Azure monitoring services, container monitoring.
โข Understanding of telemetry standards for interoperability
โข Intermediate to advanced technology certification in the given specialism
โข Entry level service management certification such a ITIL Foundation.
