    Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

    The position of Associate Operations Analyst is assigned in the Uzbekistan Resident Mission (URM) within Central and West Asia Department (CWRD). You will be based at our Resident Mission in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

    You will report to designated International Staff and Officer.

    Your Role

    As an Associate Operations Analyst, you will provide statistical and technical support for portfolio management and country programming, including maintenance and updating of database relevant to ADB operations in URM.

    You will:

  • Participate in in-country portfolio management and sector coordination meetings, take minutes of meetings, and facilitate inter-agency coordination.
Support in the preparation of background paper and participate and support in organizing Country Operations Review and Programming Mission and Tripartite Operations Review Missions with the Government, development partners, and executing agencies on Uzbekistan's portfolio and pipeline program. Support in implementation of assigned TAs by providing support in the recruitment of consultants, organizing meetings, and preparing relevant correspondence and variations. Participate in review missions as requested and provide administrative and logistic support. Compile statistical data on projects/TAs for RM's portfolio review and programming . Support in data analysis of Uzbekistan portfolio and programming in preparing briefing papers for senior management, presentation materials for senior officials' meetings including fixing/organizing seminars, workshops, press conferences Maintain database on implementation status on projects in Uzbekistan, including the status on ongoing procurement, safeguards, financial management, and project readiness Maintain record and database of pipeline program. Support in maintaining up-to-date information on development partners profile, organize coordination meetings, and take minutes of such meetings. Maintain knowledge database for URM with regular updates with the relevant staff and with HQ colleagues. Support in collecting relevant data related to programming and portfolio management. Support in the processing of TAs, if required, by participating in the missions, by collecting relevant data and administrative support. Support project administration for sectors which are understaffed, involve complex project design, or cover wide geographic areas; including identification and execution of required measures to address and resolve project implementation problems. Perform any other tasks reflected in the workplan.

Qualifications

You will need:

Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business administration or related fields. At least 5 years of relevant work experience; preference will be given to related experience in international agencies. Demonstrated understanding of international agencies' operational processes. Proficiency in relevant IT applications. Familiarity with building and maintaining productive relationships with host government officials and other stakeholders. Very good interpersonal and communication skills. Skill in working with people from diverse cultural and national backgrounds, adapting to different work styles, and encouraging collaboration. Additional Information

This opening is a local staff position. It is open only to nationals and residents of Uzbekistan.

This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew for an initial period of three (3 ) years following Section 3.1 (b) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 (\"Recruitment and Appointment'). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may be renewed for a period of up to three years, or not renewed. There is no limit on the number of renewals. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
