Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Associate Guarantees and Syndications Officer is assigned to the Guarantees and Syndications Unit (GSU) under the Office of the Director General (OPSD) within the Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
You will report to the designated Technical International Staff and senior Local Staff, as applicable.
Your Role
As an Associate Guarantees and Syndications Officer, you will provide support in the administration, documentation, and reporting related to cofinancing products, including RTAs, third party funds, and syndicated loans.
You will:
a. Transaction Support
- Manage the preparation and execution of non-disclosure agreements.
b. Administration of Cofinancing Contracts
Assist with the administration and reporting requirements under cofinancing agreements, including collecting information, drafting reports, sharing information with cofinanciers, processing payments of premiums, and calculating amounts due.
c. Database Management and Communications
Coordinate GSU staff contributions to internal requests for information. Contribute to the preparation of presentation materials for seminars, workshops, brochures, and other official publications on official and commercial cofinancing. Update the cofinancing pipeline and databases. Contribute to the publication of the bi-weekly newsletter, Asian Capital Markets Snapshot.d. System Requirements and Coordination
Perform testing and implementation of new systems and updated versions of existing systems to facilitate PSOD's processing, monitoring, and reporting requirements.
Contribute to the enhancement and implementation of systems and procedures, and administer computer application systems to ensure PSOD's requirements are met. Manage and coordinate the business process continuity systems of the unit.Qualifications
You will need:
Bachelor's degree preferably in business, finance, accounting, or other related areas; preferably with advanced training. At least 5 years work experience preferably with experience in banking or private sector operations.Able to undertake background research and analysis on difficult but well- defined tasks, collect and organize required data and information logically, apply appropriate computer skills in analyzing and developing the data; and prepare notes, papers and sections of reports.
Good analytical thinking with ability to make simple causal links, pro-and-con lists and analyses to reach a decision; and set priorities for tasks in order of importance. Able to work collaboratively with teams as a constructive team member. Able to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff's particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff's performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
