    ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT:
    The Asset Management Associate will support the Management Services Division in the day-to-day operations of asset management. This role focuses on maintaining accurate records, assisting in audits, and providing logistical support.
    JOB PURPOSE:
    To assist in the effective management of organizational assets by maintaining accurate records, supporting procurement processes, and facilitating audits.
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

    Ensure comprehensive, real-time asset tracking and oversight by maintaining a dynamic and accurate asset register that reflects all acquisitions, movements, and disposals across operations.

    Lead systematic physical verification exercises to confirm asset existence, condition, and alignment with inventory records, strengthening accountability and safeguarding organizational resources.

    Ensure high-quality Physical Count and Reconciliation (PCAR) results by maintaining complete, timely, and accurate data in the Asset Management Database, including proper documentation of all asset purchases, issuances, transfers, and disposals.

    Guarantee timely convening and documentation of Local Property Survey Board (LPSB) reviews to assess and endorse asset write-offs, disposals, and losses in line with corporate governance standards and accountability frameworks.

    Leverage data analytics to assess asset performance, lifecycle trends, and utilization rates, generating actionable insights to inform strategic planning and operational optimization.

    Deliver high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations that support evidence-based decision-making, budget forecasting, and investment prioritization in asset management.

    Facilitate end-to-end asset procurement processes, ensuring alignment with organizational policy, value-for-money principles, and programmatic needs.

    Oversee compliant, transparent disposal of obsolete, damaged, or underutilized assets, maintaining robust documentation and audit trails to meet internal controls and donor requirements.

    Qualifications and Competencies:
    Education: Advanced University degree in Business/Public Administration, or other relevant field relating to office management and administration. First University degree in Business/Public Administration, or other relevant field relating to office management and administration with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.

    Language: proficiency (level C) of English and intermediate knowledge (level B) of another official UN language (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) or Portuguese is an asset.

    Experience: At least 3 relevant experiences in business support, administration, or operational management within the UN system or international organizations.

    Skills: Strong organizational and analytical skills, with proficiency in budget monitoring and report preparation. Excellente communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
