Job overview:
The purpose of the Admin Assistant is to assist in the day-to-day implementation of the admin function responsibilities. Admin Assistant will be responsible for overall maintenance related issues of Kabul compounds. In addition, Admin Assistant will assist Admin team in the facilities matter of Kabul compound.
Generic responsibilities:
Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines. Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action. Prepare and develop status reports as required by management. Ensure proper filing of documents. Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.Specific responsibilities:
Oversee general maintenance of Kabul office/s and guest house buildings. Coordinate with government electricity offices and power stations on electricity maintenance issues. Repairing of electricity and water systems of Kabul office/s and guest houses. Assist in repairs, maintenance and installation of office equipment, as appropriate. Supervising the work of external service providers for all construction, plumbing, carpentry, electrical or any other work that cannot be completed directly. Ensure work areas are hazard-free and clean. Ensure that all facilities and equipment are in good condition and issues of repairs and maintenance are addressed in a timely manner. Regular assessments of all facilities to check for required repairs or maintenance. Pro-active preventative maintenance planning. Suggest improvements to the effectiveness and efficiency of facilities and equipment. Flexibility to make repairs as and when required, including at weekends or evenings if required.
