The Social Sector (SCL) is a multidisciplinary team convinced that investing in people is the way to improve lives and overcome the development challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Jointly with the countries in the region, the Social Sector formulates public policy solutions to reduce poverty and improve the delivery of education, labor, social protection, and health services. The objective is to advance a more productive region, with equal opportunities for men and women, and greater inclusion of the most vulnerable groups, including migrants.

The Gender and Diversity Division, within SCL, has the mission to promote: (a) gender equality and empowerment, (b) development with identity of indigenous peoples, and (c) the inclusion of African descendants, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ individuals. It supports Bank operations, provides policy and strategic guidance, and carries out technical assistance and training.

About this position

The Gender Parity Accelerators (Iniciativas de Paridad de Gรฉnero โ€“ IPG), housed within the Gender and Diversity Division (GDI) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), are implemented in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the French Development Agency (AFD), and are currently active in seven countries in Latin America. The IPG Regional Coordination Team leads this effort, supporting IPG national implementation. The team also provides technical and operational support to GDI and other units at the Bank to inform public policy design and reduce gender and economic inequalities across the region.

The IPG Regional Coordination Team is seeking a highly motivated professional with strong project management skills to provide technical, operational, financial and administrative support for the implementation of its regional work program. The selected consultant will provide cross-cutting support to the IPG Regional Coordination Team, contributing to the effective planning, execution, and monitoring of regional activities and deliverables.
