The Social Sector (SCL) is a multidisciplinary team convinced that investing in people is the way to improve lives and overcome the development challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Jointly with the countries in the region, the Social Sector formulates public policy solutions to reduce poverty and improve the delivery of education, labor, social protection, and health services. The objective is to advance a more productive region, with equal opportunities for men and women, and greater inclusion of the most vulnerable groups, including migrants.
The Gender and Diversity Division, within SCL, has the mission to promote: (a) gender equality and empowerment, (b) development with identity of indigenous peoples, and (c) the inclusion of African descendants, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ individuals. It supports Bank operations, provides policy and strategic guidance, and carries out technical assistance and training.
About this position
The Gender Parity Accelerators (Iniciativas de Paridad de Gรฉnero โ IPG), housed within the Gender and Diversity Division (GDI) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), are implemented in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the French Development Agency (AFD), and are currently active in seven countries in Latin America. The IPG Regional Coordination Team leads this effort, supporting IPG national implementation. The team also provides technical and operational support to GDI and other units at the Bank to inform public policy design and reduce gender and economic inequalities across the region.
The IPG Regional Coordination Team is seeking a highly motivated professional with strong project management skills to provide technical, operational, financial and administrative support for the implementation of its regional work program. The selected consultant will provide cross-cutting support to the IPG Regional Coordination Team, contributing to the effective planning, execution, and monitoring of regional activities and deliverables.
What youโll do
- Manage and execute 4 to 6 regional Technical Cooperations, providing technical, operational, financial, and administrative support.
- Oversee consultant and firm contracts, including tracking deliverables, reviewing, and processing payments.
- Coordinate with national IPG teams, government counterparts, and IDB specialists to implement action plans aligned with regional goals.
- Support the regional private sector strategy and engagement with private stakeholders involved in national IPG.
- Participate in IDB meetings, record progress and agreements, and carry out administrative tasks related to TCs as needed.
- Monitor TC budget execution, ensure accurate expense recording, and coordinate timely disbursements with the IPG Regional Team.
- Prepare quarterly and annual technical and financial reports to support decision-making and accountability to donors.
- Assist with the implementation of standardized IPG methodology and the discussion of operational results and manuals.
- Contribute to the systematization of initiatives and development of knowledge products, especially in women's leadership and analytical publications.
- Organize workshops, events, and quarterly meetings with national IPG teams, and collaborate on communication strategies and production of informational materials.
What you'll need

- Education: Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, International Relations or other relevant fields.
- Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in public policy and project management
- Languages: proficiency in English and Spanish.
